Troy, where the heck were you?

October 28, 2008

I’m in the midst of reading “Where Troy Once Stood by Iman Wilkins.  I’m fascinated by this thesis that Troy was located not far from Cambridge in England.  He makes a very good argument for his case.  I recommend the book to anyone interested in the Trojan War.

Spammers & how to deal with them.

October 28, 2008

YES!!!!!  This is the way to treat spammers!

As Emperor We’ll authorize a black ops unit to do more of this against spammers.

You might like this. Extreme prejudice indeed!

Vardan Kushnir:  Alias: None;  Current Status: Pushing Daisies

He’s been called “Russia’s most despised Internet figure,” and that’s saying a lot. At his peak, Kushnir spewed 25 million e-mails a day to promote his own language tutoring businesses, overloading servers and causing many ISPs worldwide to blacklist any e-mails coming from the .ru domain–much to the chagrin of legitimate Russian Netizens who found it impossible to communicate with the rest of the world. He taunted Russian government officials and alienated employees by refusing to pay them.

When the 35-year-old Kushnir was bludgeoned to death in July 2005 –allegedly in “self defense” by three women he’d picked up in a bar in Moscow—the reaction in the Russian press was largely gleeful. No one has been charged in the crime.

Spam Killers!

October 28, 2008

I just read a report that 90% of all email is spam.  Any idea of just how much this stuff costs the economy?    When I become Emperor in 2012, I will initiate a black agency devoted to getting rid and spam and spammers.    Some of their tools will include silenced automatics and lots of C4.    All hard drives, etc., obtained will find their way to the FBI & CIA.   finder for Emperor in 2012!  We will make America greater than she is.  And America is GREAT!

In Search of Cephphie!

October 27, 2008

Had some fun on the 19th.  Went out to the Erie Canal Village and did some principle photography on a 5-10 minute horror mockumentary, In Search of Cephphie!.  [I guess, in Oz they would refer to it as a moco. J]  Cephphie is a relative of the Kraken living in the Erie Canal.  I was interviewed about my various monster hunts, such as going after the Dreaded Drop Bear & the Wild Haggis Land Piranha to the Cogniscenti]  to name two.    We had glorious weather and got most of it done.  We have some ADR & a couple scenes to go.  We even conned a visitor into being in the film.  It was great fun and something to add to my film resume.  Must send and update to Peter Jackson real soon now.

More Economics

October 27, 2008

Just for clarification, so that one does not confuse the Fiscal Conservative

with a “TAX and SPEND LIBERAL”, it has been determined that a Fiscal

Conservative is the same as a “BOGUS CHECK CONSERVATIVE”. For further

clarification, a BOGUS CHECK CONSERVATIVE writes bad checks.

It seems that prisons throughout the country are full of “BOGUS CHECK

CONSERVATIVES” but for one to actually get to prison for being a “BOGUS CHECK

CONSERVATIVE”, they must make the mistake of writing the bogus check on their

private account instead of on the taxpayers account and NOT hold an elected

post in the Federal government, such as Senator, Representative or President or

have not been authorized by a federal government officeholder to write such a

check.

Otherwise, there is no difference.

Not Looking Good for the Bailout Plan

October 27, 2008

Back in 1990, the Government seized the Mustang Ranch brothel in Nevada for tax evasion and, as required by law, tried to run it.

They failed and it closed.

Now we are trusting the economy of our country to a pack of nit-wits who couldn’t make money running a whore house and selling booze?

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

October 27, 2008

There are 10^11 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it’s only a hundred billion. It’s less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers. -Richard Feynman, physicist, Nobel laureate (1918-1988)

Then as now!

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

He shall mark our goings, question whence we came, / Set his guards about us, as in Freedom’s name. / He shall peep and mutter, and night shall bring / Watchers ‘neath our window, lest we mock the King. -Rudyard Kipling, author, Nobel laureate (1865-1936)

Paying to be a guinea pig

October 24, 2008

Applied for a clinical study.    I was told they would supply the meds, but I would have to pay for all the various tests.    While this implies informed consent, why do I have to pay for some pharmaceutical company to experiment on me.    Then again pharmaceutical companies are licensed to addict folk.
